Meet Marina

Marina creates carefully planned compositions that intertwine geometric shapes with less precise and organic forms. Her artwork explores spatial relationships, drawing parallels between places in the world and moments in time.

The artist says: ‘I represents her own maps through multi-panel works to convey a third dimension. Open, empty, and undefined spaces anchor the paintings. The spaces in between that have so little and say so much are necessary, like the pauses between two spoken words or the spaces between two musical notes on a page. The panels that connect and communicate across time construct and deconstruct perspectives”.

With an engineer ‘s perception of space, Marina combine aerial descriptions juxtaposed with close-up views to evoke a deeper dimension, encompassing history, personal narratives, and beloved poems. The shifts and transitions in space, whether in physical journeys or in memory, speak to her dynamic engagement with painting.
